Alexander Mc Queen

"It’s a new era in fashion - there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together."- Alexander McQueen

His real name is Lee Alexander McQueen and he was born on the 17th March 1969 in Lewisham, London, United Kingdom and died at the age of 40 on the 11th February 2010(2010-02-11). He is an inspiration to a lot of individuals who’s interested into fashion design.

Throughout his life he has been famous for his creative use of tartan and tiny skulls on the runway. You can immediately notice a collection that is his because he used to show a lot of unique ideas within his fashion shows. He was really determine and dedicated and that reflected clearly on his works.

His passion for fashion all started at a small age when he left school at the age of 16 and was offered an apprenticeship ‘’ at the traditional Savile row tailors Anderson and Shephard and then at Neighbouring Gieves and Hawkes’’ which are both masters in the technical construction of clothing. At that stage Mc Queen was really into theatrical costumiers Angels and Bermans and he even mastered his own 6 methods of pattern cutting from the melodramatic 16th Century to the razor sharp tailoring which from then, it has become a McQueen signature.

From a small age he was quite famous and infect at the age of 20 he was employed by the designer Koji Tatsuno and a year later he went to Milan where he was employed as Romeo Gigli’s design assistant.

Alexander was a fashion icon which every celebrity looked up for infect he has dressed celebrities like Amanda Bynes, Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Penélope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna , Michelle Tratchtenberg and many other more, but the most celebrity know for dressing McQueen outfits is Lady Gaga. Gaga was fascinated with his enthusiastic designs and also with the famous 10-inch stilettos called the ‘Armadillo shoe’.

Mc queen inspirations often came from nature and in his fashion collections he showed a lot of contrast of colours and even different textures. You can see that he was really interested in showing different sewing techniques onto different and unique structures. In his outfits he used to involve a lot of different materials that can make the outcome look great.

Within every fashion show McQueen has wowed his audience in every way. Everything that you can’t aspect for, Alexander has brought it into his brilliant and extraordinary designs. He was really interesting in showing the different ways of the female body structure so into his outfits you can immediately notice the effects he created to make the body stand out. With every outfit he has created, he has also made an elaborate head piece to match with it because he was really obsessed with completing the outfit from head to toe, he’s most known for his head piece ‘’La Dame Blue” from Spring/Summer collection 2008.

Now a day’s media and internet is something that usually everybody follows, and Alexander mc queen has also invented his own website for online shopping. In this web site you can find some information about his experiences and also s small biography and on the other hand in the shopping section you can find designed clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and also jewelry.
